We’re happy to announce that Connecticut State Latin & Greek Day is returning this spring! We will be holding the event at Holiday Hill on April 27, 2023 8am-3pm. The cost is $40 per person, and the registration deadline will be March 31, 2023. We are anticipating a pre-pandemic like experience with a full complement of athletics and supervision provided by the venue.
This year we are planning to further integrate Latin and Greek, as reflected in our themes of natura nihil frustra facit and ούθèν μáτην ἡ φύσɩ𝜍 ποɩεî. See the attachment or the website for our T-shirt contest this year. We encourage you to be creative with our dual themes!
I also want to promote the State Latin Contest, an annual tradition celebrating the very best Latin students in Connecticut. The contest runs in April, and is being offered for free this year, so please check it out – the flyer is attached.
Finally, as always, we as a committee would love to welcome aboard anyone who would like to join the CSLGD committee. If you’ve got some ideas and aren’t afraid to lean in, let us know! This year we could certainly use teachers who want to offer Greek sessions. We’ll meet again in late January, so reach out before then.
