CSLD 2016 REGISTRATION STARTS 12/1 (Please read this first)

CSLD 2016 will take place on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Holiday Hill.

The theme is Serit arbores quae saeclo prosint alteri, and the cost is $32 for registration and $10 for a t-shirt. Once your registration is processed, there will be no refunds.

Rolling registration will start on December 1st, 2015 and end on March 1st, 2016 or until the number of students registered reaches 2000 (whichever comes first). If you plan to order t-shirts, please include the t-shirt money and order form with your registration. Be sure to read the rules of CSLD and share them with your students, as you will need to sign off on them on the registration form.

Information on all aspects of CSLD, from academic contests to workshops, including registration and t-shirts, can be found on the page tabs. This website is updated as needed, so please check back often, or subscribe to ensure you never miss an update.

  • If the Latin teacher and/or chaperone(s) is a member of ClassConn, s/he is entitled to a $20 discount off of the $32 CSLD registration. Please note this on the registration form.

  • If your school is interested in bringing more than 40 students, please contact Amy White (awhite@ellingtonschools.net OR ctstatelatinday@yahoo.com) BEFORE sending in your registration. Note bene: If you do bring more than 40 students, you need to bring additional chaperones.

  • There will be a Video Contest this year. Go to the “Ecce Videos Contest” tab for details.

If a student registers for CSLD and can’t attend, we are unable to refund the money. Let students know this. Create a waitlist, therefore if there is a student who can attend, then can pay back the student who couldn’t. Along those same lines, we pay Holiday Hill for each bracelet that is used; please discard unused bracelets rather than turning them in to the HH staff.

2016 CSLD T-Shirt Design Contest Winner

Multas gratias to all those who entered the CSLD 2016 CSLD T-shirt Design Contest! We had a few outstanding entries and the committee found the decision difficult. However, the winning design comes from Kelly, a Latin student at Daniel Hand High School, who will receive free admission to CSLD 2016 as well as two complimentary t-shirts as a prize. Congratulationes!
